Анотація: The monograph is devoted to a comprehensive study of theoretical and practical aspects in the field of hygiene planning and construction of settlements. The book highlights the current problems in this field in the context of transformational changes that are taking place in Ukraine in the process of shaping its market economy and European integration. Due to the theoretical generalization and systematization, the stages and regularities of the formation of scientific directions on the problem of hygiene of planning of settlements are determined. Hygienic developments of scientists - hygienists of the State Institution "О. M. Marzeev Institute of Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" are reflected in the sanitary and urban planning legislation and implemented in the practice of health institutions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. State Service of Ukraine on Food safety and Consumer Protection, structural subdivisions of the Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine, which is of particular importance for the further stable development of the national economy of an independent Ukraine and its establishment as a European country The book is written for scientists, specialists and practical hygienists of Main and territorial departments of the State Serv ice of Ukraine on food safety and consumer protection, teachers and students of higher medical and construction educational institutions, as well as specialists of design and expert organizations, executive and local self-government bodies and those who are interested in the history of foundation and development of settlements' planning hygiene.

  Монографія присвячена комплексному дослідженню теоретичних і практичних аспектів у сфері гігієни планування та забудови населених місць. Висвітлені сучасні проблеми у цій царині в умовах трансформаційних перетворень, що відбуваються в Україні в процесі формування її ринкової економіки та евроінтеграції. Завдяки теоретичному узагальненню і систематизації визначені етапи і закономірності формування наукових напрямів з проблеми гігієни планування населених місць. Наукові здобутки, гігієнічні розробки лабораторії гігієни планування та забудови населених місць знайшли своє відображення у санітарному та містобудівному законодавстві і впроваджені у практику закладів охорони здоров'я МОЗ України, Держпродспоживслужби, структурних підрозділів Мінрегіону України, що має особливе значения для подальшого стабільного розвитку народного господарства незалежної України та становлення її як європейської країни.
